Come to Rebecca Nurse Homestead for the next Way Back Weekend. This month, there will be a spinning demonstration. Spinning was a fundamental part of the local economy and an art largely lost to modern people. Come learn about the equipment, process, and tricks of the trade from an expert spinner, the Homestead's very own Martha Driscoll. **New for this installment we will have a hands on demo. You can try spinning & weaving for yourself!

NEAQ Penguin Presentation at Ipswich Library!

The New England Aquarium presents penguins at the Ipswich Library!

New England Aquarium educators will lead a discussion about what kind of animal a penguin is, defining characteristics and behaviors of specific species of penguin, and where penguins live. This is an interactive program with lots of fun activities for participants.No live penguins are involved, although there may be some stuffed specimens for display purposes. This program will be offered three times on March 27 for three specific age groups.

The New England Aquarium Penguins are coming to the library! (Children in Grades 1-5 ONLY).
