Sparhawk School: Big Art for Little Humans - a Free Art Class

Register today for this special parent & child art class series on Wednesday mornings at the Sparhawk School with Catherine Kulik, the Sparhawk Elementary & Middle School art teacher. Your child will explore diverse ways of creating art and experiment with new, engaging materials while learning about line, color, texture and notable works of art. This class is sure to engage their sensory skills as well as their innate curiosity about the visual world around them. Each class is limited to ten children and runs for 5 week sessions.

The Waldorf® School Postcard Exchange - A Worldwide Collaboration Connecting students around the world with postcards

Waldorf School at Moraine Farm in Beverly Massachusetts

The Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is participating in a worldwide postcard exchange initiative to both broaden the global perspective of students and kick-off the 100 year celebration of Waldorf® Education planned for 2019.

Throughout the current year, students in 1,100 Waldorf schools from greater than 80 countries will send a postcard to every other Waldorf school in the world. Each postcard is being individually designed by a student, telling or showing something of his or her country, school or self.

This innovative global project will connect hundreds of thousands of students to one another through individualized and artistically designed postcards, which will then be displayed by each school.

Our school is proud to be a part of this million-fold Waldorf greeting from around the globe!

It's never too early (or too late) to look and learn more. Come experience our community in action by touring campus and staying for our student-run outdoor concert, Woofstock. Enjoy our complimentary BBQ beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tours will take approximately 30 minutes and leave on the quarter hour. This is a great opportunity to see our campus, experience our community, and learn about our newest initiatives including the Walsh Wellness Center, the new Inspiration Commons, and Curriculum 2020.

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 8:00 - 10:00 am, families of students entering Pre-K through Grade 8, are invited to Waldorf School at Moraine Farm to learn more about Waldorf education.

Tour classrooms, meet our teachers, partake in interactive learning just like our kids do! Experience for yourself how our time-tested approach to education promotes a learning environment that allows for self-discovery, creative problem solving and high achievement. Academic lessons are integrated through the arts, music and movement creating multidimensional learning that fosters self-motivated and well-rounded students.

Pingree School in Hamilton to host One Day University

One Day University will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 28 at Pingree School, 537 Highland St., Hamilton.

Remember those special college professors whose lectures kept you wide awake and wanting to hear more? The ones you wished could be cloned? Steven Schragis, a Tufts University graduate, came up with a solution almost as good. He founded One Day University for adults in 2006. By canvassing campuses and talking to students, he finds the most popular educators and then works closely with them to develop engaging talks that inform and inspire their adult students-for-a-day.

Artcie in Hamilton is accepting enrollment into the Creative Arts Class for ages 5-8. Winter Two, 7 Week session begins February 26 and runs until April 13.
