At the core of Glen Urquhart School Pre-K program is the student and the excitement of discovery.
GUS Pre-K is a full-day, Monday through Friday program for children ages 3 to 5 years old. These youngest learners come to school with boundless curiosity and an open heart and mind, ready to engage fully with their world as they pose questions, build knowledge, solve problems creatively, and develop relationships with friends and teachers.

Healthy Family Workshop at Moraine Farm
Heidi Henrickson-Zohn, chiropractic physician and holistic speaker (and parent of a 1st and 6th grader) is back with her Dr. Mom tips on turning to natural methods to care for your family. From supplements to foods to essential oils, come learn how to trust your instinct and use ancestral medicine to stay healthy. This event is free and open to the public.

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 8:00 - 10:00 am, families of students entering Pre-K through Grade 8, are invited to Waldorf School at Moraine Farm to learn more about Waldorf education.
Tour classrooms, meet our teachers, partake in interactive learning just like our kids do! Experience for yourself how our time-tested approach to education promotes a learning environment that allows for self-discovery, creative problem solving and high achievement. Academic lessons are integrated through the arts, music and movement creating multidimensional learning that fosters self-motivated and well-rounded students.
RSVP to our Open Classrooms Tour. The tour begins promptly at 8:00 am and ends at 10:00 am after a brief Q&A period with faculty, parents and staff.

Starting in Kindergarten, Waldorf lays the foundation of skills that are needed to succeed later on in academic studies. Through daily rhythms of free play, outdoor time, circle time, story time, visual arts, handwork and practical activities children exercise their creative muscles, develop their fine motor skills and create a strong foundation for their emerging literacy skills.
