Glover's Regiment Summer Encampment

Every year, Glover's Regiment hosts a summer encampment at Marblehead's historic Fort Sewall. This picturesque fort sits on a rock bluff overlooking Marblehead Harbor and Salem Bay, providing a stunning backdrop for the event. Inside the fort's bowl-shaped area, the regiment sets up a Colonial camp. Tents, cooking fires, and a dining fly create an authentic atmosphere.

Visitors can explore craft activities such as marine rope work, knot-making, leatherwork, needlework, and clothing repairs. Additionally, a group of 18th-century merchants known as "sutlers" offer reproduction goods for sale. From pottery and lanterns to jewelry, furniture, iron goods, clothing, hats, and sundries, there's a wide array of items to discover.

During the encampment, you can enjoy various attractions and experiences. Witness military skirmishes and demonstrations that bring the Revolutionary War era to life.
