Ipswich Empty Bowl Dinner

Proceeds from the Open Door Empty Bowl dinner benefit community programs.

The Open Door and the Ipswich Lions Club team up to host an evening of food and hospitality. This is a simple meal of a bowl of soup — donated by local businesses — bread and a cookie. The bowl going home will be empty as a reminder than someone somewhere is going hungry.

Last year’s Empty Bowl Dinner provided a contribution to The Open Door of $14,792.26. The second annual dinner takes place on Thursday, Feb. 20, Hellenic Center from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

If you would like to make/donate bowls for this event, or to make a cash donation, please contact Ipswich Lions Club or email volunteer@foodpantry.org
