Cambridge Science Festival, the first of its kind in the United States, is a city-wide celebration showcasing the leading edge in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). Comprising hundreds of events, workshops, lectures, demonstrations, multidisciplinary collaborations, family-friendly exhibitions and interactive experiences, CSF is a STEAM-themed extravaganza highlighting Cambridge’s diverse innovative community.
Did you know that MIT offers a huge catalog of free online courses where you can dive right in and start expanding your horizons right the comfort of your own home? They offer over 2000 courses, covering the entire MIT curriculum that ranges from Sciences & Humantities to Management & Engineering. The courses are open to anybody who wishes to try them.
Get ready for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and discover the physics behind soccer. Compete in juggling competitions and learn the secret behind the perfect penalty kick with MIT Professor John Bush. Refreshments will be served with music by Receita De Samba. Presented in collaboration with MIT-Brazil.

Girls Day, offered twice a year and sponsored by MIT Museum, celebrates women who are exploring, researching, and innovating in fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Meet amazing women in these fields while doing fun hands-on activities. This family-friendly event is recommended for girls 10 and up, but all are welcome. Our theme this time is “Express Yourself with Science” and will highlight women whose work combines science and the arts.

Celebrate the winter season at the Museum of Science with a suite of train-themed attractions, sure to entertain the entire family. For the second year in a row, the Museum’s temporary model train exhibit, All Aboard! Trains at Science Park, makes its return, in a new space within the Museum, alongside a variety of other attractions, including Thomas & Friends™ and OMNI and 4-D films sure to make for a day filled with fun exploring the rails.
Cue the computers...and robots too! Celebrate Computer Science Education Week, observed each year in recognition of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (December 9, 1906 – January 1, 1992). Museum of Science, Boston is marking the occasion with a roster of fun and educational hands-on activities for visitors of all ages during the celebration’s culmination — Computer Science Education Weekend!
For more than 20 years, the MIT Museum has hosted the Friday After Thanksgiving (F.A.T.) Chain Reaction, a wild and whimsical feat of community engineering. This F.A.T. will be the last F.A.T., so come to the grand finale and help make this the biggest, fattest F.A.T. ever!
