Plant Your Own Garden at HWL

Plant a Growums garden at Hamilton Wenham Library to take home with you!

Join Hamilton-Wenham Public Library as they host a planting party to get your garden started! Choose one of three Growums gardens kits to use - pizza garden, herb garden or taco garden! Each kit contains magically expanding soil to plant different herbs or vegetables. All material provided. This program is designed for children 4 and up. Please pre-register with the Children’s librarian in person.

Calling all dads! Bring your kids to Sawyer Free Library for a Saturday morning

This is a great opportunity for dads (uncles, grandfathers, cousins or other father figures) to spend time with their kids! Come to the Sawyer Free with the kids for a storytime filled with songs, stories,snacks and fun!  Great for kids aged 2-6 (siblings are welcome). Moms and siblings welcome to attend.

HWPL: Free SAT/ACT Combo Practice Test

Free SAT/ACT Combo Practice Test at Hamilton Wenham Library

Take a practice SAT/ACT (half SAT, half ACT) test, complete with results, provided free of charge by Kaplan Test Prep.

A proctored SAT/ACT practice test shows students what to expect in a test-like environment. Students will receive a comprehensive analysis of their performance from Kaplan, detailing individual strengths and weaknesses. Bring #2 pencil and a calculator to use during the test.

Registration is required, space is limited.

Community Giving Tree Donation Drop Off - Hamilton

Community Giving Tree's mission is to help low-income families in northeastern M

Time to clean out and drop off your gently-used donations to Essex County children in need. On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Community Giving Tree van is accepting donations at Winthrop Elementary School.

Community Giving Tree, a non-profit organization serving all of Essex County, collects gently used baby equipment such as car seats, strollers, high chairs and more and gives them to local children in need. Every baby needs a safe crib.

Community Giving Tree's mission is to help low-income families in northeastern Massachusetts raise healthy children by providing recycled clothing, baby equipment, and other basic necessities.

Fast Chicks 5k

The Fast Chicks 5k raises funds for local families & celebrates active women!

The Fast Chicks 5k is a Hamilton-Wenham Mother's Club sponsored community fundraiser race that celebrates active women and raises funds for a selected charity each year.  There's also a FREE kids race - a 100 yard dash! Now in it's third year, the race begins and ends at Patton park and funds raise this year will go to the Wellspring House, a North Shore organization based in Gloucester that empowers individuals and families to live more secure lives through basic needs assistance, education and job training.

Green Meadows Farm invites families to Meet the Chicks Day - a day of fun activi

Green Meadows Farm invites families to their annual 'Meet the Chicks' Day! Join your farm friends for this grand opening day at Green Meadows. Learn about the life of a chicken on our farm and welcome our newest additions to the farm menagerie, the chicks! There will be free crafts and an out door scavenger hunt if the weather allows. This event is free and open to the public.

Turn off your digital devices and bring the family to the library for no-screen

Is there too much screen time going on in your household? Coordinated Family & Community Engagement of Hamilton-Wenham presents and evening of fun with music by Peter Stewart, arts and crafts, activities for all ages and an opportunity to visit with representatives from local schools and community members at our first annual Brain Building in Progress Week Celebration! For ages 0-8 with caregiver, older siblings are welcome. The first 50 families in the door will get books and a gift bag.
