Manchester Public Library programs host their annual Easter marshmallow Peep show
Calling all ages! Create a diorama, using those deliciously sweet, marshmallow Peeps as your main characters. Let your imagination run to peeps as you illustrate your favorite book or movie. Bags of peeps are available at the library (while supplies last), or supply your own.

Families are invited to get acquainted with some of the creatures that will help us welcome springtime at Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team. Rick Roth of the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team will introduce animals from our local area that you may have never seen up close. After the presentation, there will be an optional walk to an easily accessible vernal pond in our own Powder House Hill Reservation which will soon come alive with the sounds of spring!

The Festival by the Sea is an annual event hosted by the Manchester Division of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, this all-day extravaganza taps into the long-line of local talent with musical and artistic performers alike. Visitors can take in the sights of Masconomo Park while surveying the art and handcrafted items from some of the finest talent assembled. Reid's Ride is a true North Shore event where participants travel at their own pace along the town and country roads of Essex County
The Reid's Ride 28-Mile Bike Ride is held each year on the third Sunday in July. This year’s Ride is on July 19. Now in its 16th year, Reid’s Ride is a true North Shore event where participants cycle at their own pace on a quiet summer Sunday morning along the town and country roads of Essex County from Lynnfield High School to Gloucester’s seaside Stage Fort Park. This nationally recognized annual fundraiser is perfect for all ages and abilities. At the finish line participants are greeted by friends and family and to food, refreshments, music and prizes!
