The Friends of the Newbury Town Library invite you to our annual Harvest Fest. Please join us for a fun day out with your family and support our library on Saturday, October 13 from 10am to 2pm at NTL. Here’s what’s happening this year:
Brighten up your yard this winter with a bird feeder handmade by you and your child. Each family will receive a kit containing all the necessary parts to build a feeder that will attract chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, cardinals, and many other birds to your yard. Mass Audubon's Scott Santino from Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary will explain winter birds and then lead a workshop to build bird feeders.
The Newbury Town Library will be showing Mary Poppins (rated G). Popcorn and water provided. No registration required. When Jane and Michael, the children of the wealthy and uptight Banks family, are faced with the prospect of a new nanny, they are pleasantly surprised by the arrival of the magical Mary Poppins.
Grades 6-12: The Newburyport Library Rainbow Club is an inclusive and safe group for LGBTQ+ teens and allies. Hang and be yourself! We have games and craft supplies available and occasionally show movies, host guest speakers, and have parties. Meets in the Children's Activity Room. Please contact Emely, Teen Services Librarian, with questions at 978-465-4428 ext.242 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
