PJ Library Junior Scientists and Engineers Preschool Program

Epstein Hillel School in Marblehead MA

Children ages 3 to 5 will explore the wonders of science and an introduction to engineering through a Jewish lens each week as they hear a relevant story and conduct a hands-on experiment. Each session will be led by a faculty member of Epstein Hillel School. Lab coats and lab books will be provided.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Walk-ins welcome.

Beginning this Fall, prospective parents can tour Shore Country Day School campus with Shore's Head of School or Head of the Lower School.

Farm Friends

Farm Friends a program for preschoolers at Spencer Peirce Little Farm Newbury Massachusetts!

Children three to six and a favorite adult of their choosing are invited to share in some fun-filled farm adventures which will connect them to daily life at Spencer Peirce Little Farm. Each week includes time with the farm animals, a story, and a related craft to take home.

A parent or guardian must attend. Younger siblings are welcome. Pre-registration is required.

Together we will hike out on the GUS Nature Trail and discover new areas each day as we explore the woods. We will let our imagination + sense of wonder lead us as we use open-ended materials to play and express ourselves creatively in our natural surroundings. We will build homes and invented structures for the creatures (real and imagined!) that live in the woods surrounding Glen Urquhart School, and will see how we can create nature-inspired art on the trails!

Fairy + Gnome House Fun for Little Ones: A GUS Pre-K Event

Fairies, gnomes, fun, and new friends! Join us Saturday, May 5 on the Glen Urquhart School campus as we create magical fairy and gnome houses with found materials gathered from our nature trails. Children age 3 to 6 are welcome to join us with a caregiver for this free morning activity. We are pleased to have creative mindfulness play group Indigo Starr Workshops partnering with us for the event.

Come to Glen Urquhart School as they host children's performer Parker Bent LIVE from LA for an exclusive free concert for kids! Parker Bent brings his original songs to over 450 kids every week throughout Los Angeles area preschools and beyond. His music is smart, cool, sophisticated, and fun. It's been played on NPR and Disney Radio, made the "recommended listen" list by the Grammys, has been featured in LA Parent Magazine, and most importantly has made tens of thousands of children laugh, dance, and sing.

Sprouting Melodies Music Program at Newbury Town Library

Sponsored by the Friends as well as by a grant from the Newbury Cultural Council, Family Sprouts Music Program gathers kids and families together here at the Newbury Town Library, and provides opportunities for children of different ages to learn and interact with each other. Each session includes active music making designed to elicit different responses from the children based on their cognitive, social and physical skills.
