Come dressed in your robes and bring your wand. Don’t have a wand? Worry not, you can make one. Potions and much more awaits you. Your house needs your support to win the House Cup. Muggles and Wizards alike welcome!

This Mother's Day, follow in the footsteps of young wizards on a field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts in search of art that echoes characters, places and enchanted objects in the famed Harry Potter books and movies. Be prepared to track down flying owls, Hagrid-like giants, centaurs and unicorns like those you’d see in the Forbidden Forest, dragons that seem straight out of the Triwizard Tournament, and eerie figures as scary as any Death Eater or Dementor.

Wizards and muggles alike can play and enjoy this hunt. The hunt is not an addition to or variation on Harry’s adventures, but instead references to the books will provide a surprising bridge to many strange and wonderful works of art. It’s a great way to discover—or rediscover—the museum.

This hunt is designed for kids and adults to do together, but all-adult teams will be allowed to compete separately. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

Join us in a galaxy not so far away as we celebrate the art, science, and design of Star Wars! All weekend long you can dress up as your favorite Star Wars character, put your Jedi skills to the test on our training course, build an X-Wing or Death Star with KEVA blocks, and meet some of your favorite characters! Each day will have fun and engaging activities for the whole family!

The MFA welcomes back one of Boston’s most celebrated signs of spring, the annual Art in Bloom festival of flowers. For more than 40 years, Art in Bloom blossoms with art-inspired floral arrangements hand-crafted by New England garden clubs and acclaimed professional designers. Inspired by artworks from Ancient Egyptian to Contemporary, this year’s 51 arrangements are located throughout the Museum’s galleries.
