Bartlet Mall Day is a fun family afternoon with live music hayrides and more in Newburyport Massachusetts

Learn about the history of the Barlet Mall, including information on Victorian era landscape architect Charles Eliot, the significance of the George Washington statue, the oldest functioning courthouse in the nation, how rope was made at the Mall, and a World War I memorial to a native son. Newburyport Preservation Trust, Historic New England, the Old Museum of Newbury, and others will be on hand to share their knowledge.

Bring the whole family for a variety of tricks and treats, this family event is intended for all ages.

The Salem Arts Festival is a joint project of Salem Main Streets and Creative Collective in Salem Massachusetts

For three days, this annual family friendly art festival transforms downtown Salem into an opportunity for the arts community to showcase their talents. The popular free event will feature over 80 artists and performers, and includes a variety of art, music, dance, and theatre performances. The family-friendly festival also includes art-making for all ages, artisan vendors selling their creations, and a temporary public art installation.

Our top-notch team incorporates acting, singing and dance training, blocking and theater terminology into each workshop developing the skills necessary to succeed on stage in our Youth Company or Main Stage Programs.

Little Women - The Broadway Musical at Wheelock Family Theatre

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested. On the advice of her friend, Professor Bhaer, Jo weaves the story of herself, her sisters, and their experience growing up in Civil War America. The original production starred the unparalleled Sutton Foster, who received Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk nominations for her performance.

Each year student leaders create innovative and engaging programs about the impact of racism that provoke thought and encourage action. Attendees of our events form a diverse group of ages, races, faiths, political parties, business communities, organizations and schools. The interaction between area high school students and adults is a hallmark of our annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Event.
