Sign up now for Summer Programs at Art Haven in Gloucester. The Art Haven Summer Program strives to promote creativity and confidence through hands on learning and collaboration for kids of all ages. With talented local artists and a fun energetic summer staff, there is no shortage of things to do this summer.

For the last 8 years, Cape Ann Art Haven has offered some of the most engaging and unique summer programs for kids on the North Shore.

This summer students be working with all kinds of different art materials and media through hands on projects that encourage confidence and creativity. Your child will come home with great stories, creative artwork, new friends, and memories to last for years to come.

Sargent House Museum‎ Revolutionary Tea Party - Gloucester

Come to the Sargent House Museum and learn how Americans like Judith Sargent Murray took tea in the 1770s, from brewing bohea to brewing revolution. Sample some of the teas thrown into Boston Harbor at the Boston Tea Party, and brew your own liberty tea.

Childhood on Cape Ann Family Tour

Cape Ann Museum Collection. Kids skating on frozen Gloucester Harbor

How did Cape Ann children play, learn, dress and think throughout history? Learn the answers with docent Trudi Olivetti during this all ages family tour. CAM Kids Second Saturdays - Calligraphy

CAM Kids will teach kids the basics of Calligraphy at Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester

Learn calligraphy basics with specialist Albina Papows. Inspired by the special exhibition Unfolding Histories: Cape Ann before 1900. Write your name, use calligraphy tools and leave with a sampler to take home. This family workshop is recommended for children 7 and up with an adult. Registration required.

Family Night in the Aqua Room

It's Family Night in the Aqua Room every Tuesday night from 5-8pm. Kids pay their age for day passes and no one pays more than $10 a pass. Come with the family and enjoy an evening swim in the heated indoor pool with colorful pool lights. There are plenty of flat screen TV's, full-service bar, and extensive dinner menu available for food and drinks poolside. Note: One adult must be present for every three Junior/Youth swimmers at all times & absolutely no outside food or beverage is permitted.

Feed the Birds Storytime

Children and their caregivers are invited to spend a morning at the Stevens-Coolidge Place to enjoy a story and craft time focused on birds. Bird watching is enjoyable any time of year, but can be particularly rewarding in the winter if you've hung a homemade snack for the birds in your yard. So, join us this Wednesday morning to explore the world of birds around you through stories and a hands-on activity.

Historic Ice House Tours - Sundays

Tour Cape Pond Ice and chill wioth the coolest guys in town!

Chill with the coolest guys in town! Enjoy a cool visit to Cape Pond Ice Company, icing Gloucester's fleet since 1848. We were featured in Sebastian Junger's account of The Perfect Storm. Tours highlight the history of the ice industry, with vintage film of natural ice harvests. See first hand 300-pound block ice being made (up to 350 tons per day), fishing vessels taking on ice and ice sculptures being carved in our historic icehouse on Gloucester's working waterfront.
