Celebrate Theater in the Open's birthday and help raise funds for its programs!

Theater in the Open turns 40! And we're celebrating with a Season Launch Party at RiverWalk Brewing Company in Newburyport. Join us for an evening of fun, food and friends, as well as a special sneak peek of the new TITO season. This is a ticketed event and all proceeds will support our 2019 season of free theater. All ages are welcome, and children under 12 are free.

Join us for a cold beer while raising awareness and funds directed at Newburyport’s first inclusive playground.

This family-friendly fundraiser is a kick start to raising funds and awareness around Newburyport’s first inclusive playground. We’re looking for local businesses to donate gift certificates for the raffle or make a donation to our GoFundMe page. Live music, child entertainment, including Newburyport’s beloved Theater in the Open, food from Metzy’s Taqueria and Cantina and more! Raffle drawing at 4pm- maybe you’ll win!

Elise Inc. summer teen photography workshop is a comprehensive creative photography course that engages young photographers to fully understand their camera/iphone/smartphone technology and enable them to create great photographs through there individual vision.

This workshop is designed for beginner students who want to take their photography skills and vision to the next level. Assignments will be given each day to strengthen students ability to take great images.

Babysitters Course at NPL

Newburyport Public Library offers a babysitting course for kids in grades 6-12!

Kids in Grades 6-12 are invited to NPL for babysitter training! Would you like to learn babysitting skills? If you are 11-18 years old come and attend our 4-H Babsitters Course! Participants will come to understand the responsibilities of babysitting and learn the skills needed to become good babysitters. Teens will develop confidence in handling situations they may encounter when babysitting. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a Babysitter’s ID card and a certificate of completion.
