Tour de Greenbelt

Essex County Greenbelt will host their annual road cycle event to raise funds for conservation efforts on the North Shore!

Essex County Greenbelt Association will host the annual road cycle event to raise funds for conservation efforts on the North Shore! Cycling enthusiasts of all abilities can ride through some of Essex County’s most beautiful landscapes in this annual road cycle event to benefit local land conservation. Whether a seasoned road cyclist or a beginner, you can enjoy at your own pace one of three routes offered by Tour de Greenbelt: a 50 mile ride, a shorter route (25 miles), and Gravel Grinder Routes (40 mile and 28 mile), with off-road excursions into protected forests and reservations.

Riders will enjoy cycling past more than 50 of Greenbelt’s protected properties, venturing into state forests, ascending Sagamore Hill in the Donovan Reservation for beautiful views, then returning to Cox Reservation for a BBQ and music under the Big Tent.

The event kicks off at Greenbelt’s Cox Reservation in Essex at 9 am.  Greenbelt is Essex County’s land trust and proceeds help Greenbelt conserve the region’s farmland, wildlife habitat, scenic landscapes, and places for outdoor recreation.

REGISTRATION OPEN (Online Deadline is September 10)

All proceeds from the Tour de Greenbelt help Greenbelt, Essex County’s Land Trust conserve the region’s farmland, wildlife habitat, scenic landscapes, and places for outdoor recreation. Register today to enjoy your ride through some of the region’s most beautiful conserved land.
