Explore the printing process used by the Folly Cove Designer at Cape Ann Museum!

Learn about the Folly Cove Designers' process, then get to work in the Children's Activity Center. Explore the Folly Cove Designs, create prints using stamps, foam shapes and styrofoam. Also, examine a linoleum block and tools similar to those used by the original Designers. This drop-in program is free for members and Cape Ann residents or with Museum admission. Celebrate local author, illustrator and artist Virginia Lee Burton with story time, playing and art making in the Children's Activity Center. Burton authored and illustrated some of the most memorable books ever written for children, and won the 1942 Caldecott Medal for [amazon 0395181569 inline].

CAM Story Time in the Gallery

Story Time in the gallery takes place every Wednesday Through March 2019 at Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester Massaschusetts.

 

Young visitors are invited to join CAM staff and special guests for story time in the gallery. Offered in conjunction with the special exhibitions The Little House: Her Story and Once Upon a Contest: Selections from Cape Ann Reads. Free and open to the public. Please remember, the Museum closes at 5:00 p.m.

SalemRecycles hosts an electronics recycling event!! Salem Massachusetts

Salem residents & property owners (with ID or tax bill) can recycle e-waste on the last Saturday of the quarter at Salem High School, 77 Willson St. Please stay in your vehicle the whole time and have your items ready to unload in your trunk, truck bed or hatchback – items will not be unloaded from car seats. Please wear a face covering and have your cash or check ready.

CAM: Cape Ann Reads with Eric Carle Picture Book Art

This CAM Kids Celebration will focus on author & illustrator Eric Carle

The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art will be offering workshops for children and adults to kick-off the new Cape Ann Reads initiative. This program will take place at the Cape Ann Museum and is free and open to the public. Space is limited; reservations are required.
