Come experience the fun new sport of Geocaching at the Cox Reservation in Essex, Massachusetts! This web-based hide-and-seek game is growing by leaps and bounds across the country!Instructors will share how to use a GPS unit and astute powers of observation to find hidden caches at the Cox Reservation.
At this Family Quest Fest you'll learn all about Questing--clue-based treasure hunts discovering stories about this very special place--while on an expetition to find a treasure box! You'll make your own stamp, grab a passport, and participate in the fastest growing family recreational activity this side of the Atlantic.
The Garden City Church invites you to a morning of fun, games, and ten thousand candy-filled eggs! Arrive early to register and be ready to go at 11:00 am. With over two hundred kids, the eggs will go fast! Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. DON'T BE LATE!

Winter shelter building, animal tracking races, and adaptation demonstrations are part of the line-up for this active and educational romp through the park. An afternoon of arctic adventure awaits the whole family. We've set up winter challenges throughout the park. Use maps and compass to navigate the park, find hidden markers, complete challenges and post your team's time. Win prizes! Bring your skis or snowshoes (or rent our snowshoes)!

Each nature exploration will focus on the importance of a sense of place as we explore the ecology, sights, and sounds of our natural landscape. Wildlife, local and migrating birds, collecting techniques, and environmental awareness will be presented in a fun, energetic format that adults and children alike will enjoy.
The Trustees of Reservations hosts a fun afternoon at The Great House at Castle Hillof fun for families with proceeds to benefit the Ipswich Humane Group! Explore the Great House while searching for images of animals in paintings, wallpaper, and decorative arts. Each child will receive a small prize for completing the treasure hunt. Don't miss the face painting and coloring table, too!

The Sweetbay Swamp Quest is a clue-based treasure hunt through the swamp trails, discovering stories about our nearly "loved to death" Sweetbay Magnolia and to a Quest Treasure Box. Pre-registration required.
On this excursion kids will be ponding with Joppa Flats Education Center at Mill Pond in West Newbury! Come explore the pond habitat and learn about the creatures that live there! We will be exploring the edge of a pond with safe shore access using nets, scoopers, strainers, cups, bowls and spoons. We’ll examine the water, leaf litter and plants with hand lenses and magiscopes. We’ll walk along the edge of the meadow near the pond looking for signs of life and spotting birds. We’ll give out binoculars to all participants. Each participant will take home coloring packets!
