Join Culinary Program Manager Jess Wagoner for a unique workshop experience: Cooking with Fire. In this workshop, we will use Appleton’s outdoor wood-fired oven to create delicious dishes inspired by what is fresh off the farm. Each class will involve a hands-on experience preparing the courses of each menu, as well as demonstrations at the wood-fired oven. Farmhouse Culinary Workshop: Classic Apple Pie

Join Appleton Baker, Kami Turgeon, to learn the secrets to a perfectly flaky, sturdy pie crust and all the sweet details of making the perfect Apple Pie, with variations. Crumble top, lattice top, double crust, pie art (yes, that’s a thing!) – we’ll cover it all. Participants will enjoy hands-on experience making pie dough by hand and will take home a prepped pie, ready for the oven! Class will end with a shared pie a la mode.

Kids Wreath Making Workshop

Kids can come to Appleton Farms to make your own Holiday Wreath!

Get into the holiday season by creating your own evergreen wreath! Kids will craft their 16" wreaths by hand using local greenery, winter berries, fallen cones, holly leaves, ribbon, and more! Materials and instruction included. Parents are encouraged to attend but wreath making is for kids only please. Hayrides with Santa at Green Meadows Farm

Come celebrate the Holidays with Santa at Green Meadows Farm in Hamilton, Massachusetts!

You do not have access to view this node invites families to join Santa on a wagon ride through the woods and over the fields! Craft-making for kids, live music and Chef Alice will be cooking up pizza and grilled cheeses. Of course our farmstand is open and, as always, features holiday decor, gifts, gourmet condiments and our own produce, meats and prepared meals. Free and Open to the Public.

Farm Inspired Crafts and Cocoa for Kids

Kids will enjoy crafts and cocoa at Appleton Farms in Ipswich Massachusetts!

Join us in the farmhouse for a craft making party! Leave your hat and mittens at the door and come get creative with our Farm Educator. While the farm animals are hunkered down and the wild animals are hibernating, we will use the winter landscape as our inspiration. Hot chocolate will be available in the farm kitchen throughout the program. Drop in between 9:30am-11am. Your crafting fun will take around 30 minutes so plan as you need for your schedule.

Art Week: Intro to Wool Felting for Kids

Learn about the process of making felt from wool at Appleton Farms in Ipswich Massachusetts during February Vacation!

As part of Art Week week we are hosting a special wool felting class for kids! Warmer spring weather means its sheep shearing time on the farm. But what to do with all that wool? As part of ArtWeek, learn about the time honored tradition of wool felting. We’ll start by learning how to wash and “card” the raw wool into soft fiber for spinning or felting. Afterwards, we’ll try our hand at making felt balls to be used for farm-fun necklaces. Wool, wood beads and decorative string will be provided, but feel free to bring anything special of your own to add to your necklace. We’ll end by visiting and feeding our three lovely merino sheep.

The Annual Tattersall Farm Day celebrates the agricultural heritage of Haverhill, MA. It's a New England-style cultural and educational event for people of all ages. Tattersall Farm Animal Rescue Day

NEER North is thrilled to be a part of the Animal Rescue day at the beautiful Tattersall Farm Grounds in Haverhill, MA

Trustees of Tattersall Farm are hosting a free guinea pig petting zoo and Animal Adoption Day at the Farm, 542 North Broadway, on Sunday, June 13, from noon to 3 p.m. Sheep, bunny, minihorse, and dog rescue leagues will be included. This event will help area rescue leagues to find loving homes for their various animals. Stop by and see these adorable animals!
