This race offers both a 5K and a 10K race. The 10K distance is part of the 2018 New England Running Company Trail Series. The race course winds through the beautiful wooded hills behind the Pingree School. Race will start and parking will be at the parking lot behind the Pingree School. Start your Memorial Day weekend with a 5k, 10k, 15k or kids fun run or walk to honor the memory of a local Saugus veteran. Scott J. Procopio was on his second deployment as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, having previously served in Fallujah in 2005. He was killed in action as a result of a roadside bomb on the morning of April 2, 2006 in Ramadi Iraq. The Race will start in Saugus Center.
Come join the Salem YMCA for a fun run around Salem. This running tour will stop at each mural in the great City of Salem. At each stop we'll learn a little about the mural and the North Shore CDC & Punto Urban Art Museum project. The North Shore CDC invests in neighborhoods to create thriving communities. They "envision a North Shore where every neighborhood is one of choice and opportunity."
The Bridge and Back 10k is a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem . The race starts in downtown Salem Massachusetts, crosses the bridge into Beverly Massachusetts and onward tot he Dane Street Beach. Runners then circle back to Salem for the finish on Front Street.
