Come on down to Coley Lee Field at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School on Sunday, August 6th for a night of “pops” and big band music from Hillyer Festival Orchestra. And once the sun goes down….the fireworks go up. After much success with last summer’s centennial fireworks show, Peabody has decided to return with another Fireworks Spectacular! Mayor Bettencourt’s Annual Summer Concert and Fireworks Spectacular will begin at 7:00 p.m. Feel free to bring your blankets and lawn chairs.
Peabody Celebrates Memorial Day by remembering fallen veterans with services, a parade and a ceremony at the Peabody City Hall. A service will be held at 9:30am the Cedar Grove Cemetary followed by a parade at 11:30 am. Parade begins on Washington Street at the corner of Allen's Lane and ends at City Hall, where there will be a wreath-laying ceremony in front of the World War I, World War II, Korean and Vietnam war monuments, and Medal of Liberty awards starting at 12:30pm.
