The Trustees of Reservations hosts the Butterfly Encounter in the gardens at Castle Hill Estate in Ipswich Massachusetts. You will hear directly from a giant monarch butterfly puppet, who will recount the adventures growing up in the milkweed patch, metamorphosis and then the amazing journey across continents.
Performed by the Mud Eye Puppet Company, Hank Dave's Thoreau Down is an all-ages puppet show following the adventures of 8-year-old Jazzmine, who journeys to magical lands with Henry David Thoreau. Wally the Walrus will also make an appearance, once again coming face-to-face and tooth-to-tooth with the challenges of oral hygiene. And if we are lucky, the brave adventurers from the Space Betterment Foundation will take us with them on a new journey to a better space.
Newbury Town Library invites kids for a special performance - BIG RYAN'S TALL TALES! Big Ryan delivers his own original stories, a bit of puppet play and some music and movement, and a whole lot of fun! This show is great for PreK-5th grade, but siblings of other ages are of course welcome. Big Ryan has been a hit at libraries all over the map, and we're so excited to be able to bring him to the Newbury Town Library for you to see. Join renowned artist and storyteller Pat Spalding in a puppet-making workshop for children and parents at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. Each participating parent/child pair attending this workshop will create a colorful felt puppet to take home.
