During this hike from Lake Gardner beach to the Camp Kent Science Center, we'll explore the woodland alive with birdsong, the gentle rolling hills of Battis Farm, and picturesque Lake Gardner. On the main shop level, guests can enjoy a silent auction as well as a retail display featuring the shop's traditional hand crafted items as well as our seasonal merchandise.

Amesbury Days 2016 promises to be ten days of fun-filled, community-focused events offering something for everyone including the ever-popular Block Party, Craft Brewfest, Classic Car Show, Giant Yard Sale, Movie in the Millyard, Lake Gardner Day. New events this year include a Poetry Night, Historical Walking Tour, Amesbury Trails guided hike in the Town Forest, and an Athletic Day in Landry Stadium for teens.
Sparhawk School in Amesbury Ma. is proud to present, Bye Bye Birdie with three shows May 20, 21, and 22. Rock star Conrad Birdie is the biggest thing to top the charts. Women love him, men want to be him and teenage girls around the country scream with glee at the mere mention of his name. But when the United States Army drafts Birdie, manager Albert Peterson sees his meal ticket preparing to fly the coop (much to the delight of longtime love Rose Alvarez, who can’t wait for Albert to ditch the music biz and become something respectable, like an English teacher).
Sparky's puppets is entertaining for preschool on up! In this adventure, a scientist builds a time machine and sets the dial for the past... and then the future! What will he discover? All told with handmade puppets and involving three tales this will be a hit with the whole familiy! Made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
Sparhawk School is proud to present the classic holiday play, It's A Wonderful Life. This film adaptation is directed by Robert Delibero, Sparhawk teacher and seasoned actor and director, and performed by Sparhawk School students and alumni.

Miss Lisa of the Joppa Flats Education Center visits Amesbury Public Library each month for a 1 hour program focused on pre-schoolers! Participants will be engaged, excited, and learning about all kinds of things in nature. Each program is an hour long and includes hands-on activities, group role play, and fun take homes. Our campus wide open house will include tours of the Lower Campus (PreK- 7) at 259 Elm St. in Amesbury and the Upper Campus (8-12th grade) at 196 Main St. in Amesbury. Families interested in boarding can visit the Residential Campus via shuttles from our Upper Campus.
