Come help with the Coastsweep cleanup of the Forest River Park in Salem, Massachusetts!
As part of COASTSWEEP 2021, volunteers are encouraged to come to Forest River Park to help in the statewide effort to keep our coastline clean along the shore of Salem Massachusetts. Trash collected will be measured and analyzed, and the data will be sent to Washington DC to aid the government in creating legislation to minimize trash in our oceans!

The United States Coast Guard Station Gloucester annual Safe Boating Day Open House will feature local marine vendors, safe boating displays, flare demonstrations, tours of Coast Guard vessels, and more. There's nothing like October in Salem and the Salem Common Neighborhood Association is thrilled to host two weekends of our annual Kids Carnival on the Common including rides, face painting, and family fun! Haunted Happenings kicks off a month of spooktacular fun with the Grand Parade!
Come join or watch this Salem tradition to kick off Haunted Happenings that is filled with pageantry, music, and the enthusiasm of thousands of Salem’s students from kindergarten to college. This year’s theme is “Upside Down and Inside Out”. Due to COVID, the performances, floats, vehicles and displays will be stationary, with attendees parading the route to view them all!
