Joppa Flats Education Center vacation programs offer a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities while we keep minds active and hands busy during school break. Beat the winter blahs during school break! Drop in for an hour or stay all morning, either one or both days, for a vacation destination that suits your schedule. Drop in for family fun! You'll see winter bird banding demonstrations and try out science and art activities. "Miss Lisa" invites you to join her at 11:00 for an energetic educational presentation where everyone particpates in the fun of an interactive mult-media show. After the presentation, weather permitting, we'll go outside for a group game.
Joppa Flats Education Center invites families with kids 3-6 for a fun-filled morning program that is perfect for you and your active preschooler! Our structured activities include hands-on science, music and movement, a thematic snack, and an outdoor adventure if the weather complies. Keep learning with coloring pages and follow-up activities to continue the fun at home. This particular program will focus on the polar bears of Arctic North.
Join us Every Sunday at 4PM to see our Jersey heard being milked. See the cows bring brought in from pasture, get a look at the milking up close and ask our dairy farmer a few questions! Perfect for kids and adults alike. While you are here take a peek in the cheese kitchen viewing room, visit with our other barnyard animals or have a picnic in the stone paddock!
Join us as we welcome educators from the Wildlife Encounters Ecology Center & Farm School! Here you will experience a show featuring a diverse selection of seven amazing small and medium sized Ambassador Animals! You will likely meet animals you’ve never encountered in your life! Two animals from the Wildlife Collection and 5 animals from the Interactive Collection will be brought to you by one of the most in-demand and dynamic processional Wildlife Educators in the Northeast!
Join us on Saturday, August 24th, 11am-1pm, for Mazuri Wildlife Zoo Day with Wildlife Encounters Ecology Center & Farm School. We'll have some unique animals here and many will be interactive. This program will be both educational and fun!
Cape Ann Animal Aid invites rescuers and their pet to reunite at Stage Fort Park! Bring the family for a day of fun, games, and food! Connect with rescuers and Cape Ann Animal Aid staff and volunteers!
Its time! The cows are heading back out to the pasture for the season. Yay! Its an exciting spectacle as the cows will jump and run with joy as they get to graze for the first time this year.
