Boot Camp For Birth Support & Beyond for caregivers at Beverly Hospital in Massachusetts

Most education surrounding childbirth focuses on the person carrying the child, as it rightly should. Those in the role of supporting childbirth (spouses, significant others, couples using a surrogate, etc) should be equally as prepared for the joys and challenges in store. In this class you’ll hear from both “veterans” and others currently in a birth support role and get to ask the questions and have the conversations that would seem less appropriate and / or a lower priority in other birth education classes.

Baby Boot Camp

At Baby Boot Camp, moms get exercise while kids have fun!

Baby Boot Camp stroller-based fitness classes are designed specifically to help moms get fit. It takes the place of a personal trainer at a time in your life when you need one more than ever. Classes combine strength-training exercises with cardiovascular drills. Pilates, yoga and abdominal exercises help improve core strength. The stroller, resistance tubes (and even your child!) are used as an integral part of the workout. Come try it - the first class is always FREE!

Community Baby Shower at Sawyer Free

Cape Ann YMCA is hosting a free Community Baby Shower for expectant parents and new parents with infants 0-6 months old. Join us for a fun and informational event that will include infant CPR demonstrations, refreshments, games, prizes and raffles, and information about community resources. This free event is sponsored by Sawyer Free Library, Pathways, Gloucester's Department of Public Health, The Open Door, and the YMCA.

Happiest Baby on the Block Parent Training

Dr. Harvey Karp is known for helping parents raise happy babies and toddlers.

Please join Pathways for Children for the upcoming [amazon 0553381466 inline] parent training! This training is great for first time parents as well as “seasoned” caregivers interested in learning Dr. Karp’s methods for soothing and calming babies. Participants receive a free video and swaddling blanket in addition to valuable resource information.
