Pedal to End Cancer American Cancer Society Manchester Athletic Club

The Manchester Athletic Club will be hosting the annual Pedal to End Cancer Fundraiser on Sunday March 3, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. along with over 60 clubs throughout New England. It is a 3-hour Indoor Cycling event with an effort to raise funds towards the American Cancer Society. We are looking for participants or donations help with this fun and inspiring event! MAC hopes to raise $50,000 at our event this year to help create more birthdays!

Usher in spring with Women in Action on Saturday, April 6th from 9:30-11:30a.m. by helping The Food Project start seedlings in the greenhouse at Glen Urquhart School in Beverly. Women in Action is dedicated to increasing access to nutritious food and physical activity for underserved children.  Last year, volunteers helped start 4,864 seedlings for The Food Project's North Shore farms in just one morning. This race is to honor Bill – a former member and previously on the board of directors of the YMCA who unfortunately lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma. Annual Ectathlon

The Essex County Trail Association ECTAthlon includes horseback riding, kayaking, mountain biking and running!

The ECTA annual ECTAthlon is friendly relay competition held at Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield and Hamilton and on private trails in Ipswich where teams or individuals compete in running, mountain biking, horseback riding and kayaking events.  This unique event, which will be held on Saturday, June 4th, was envisioned as a way to bring diverse trail users together in a fun and exciting way, and to highlight the incredible network of trails in our area.  The June 4th date also coincides with American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day, a series of nationwide events celebrating trails and trail access.
