Learn chess from a master! From learning the movement of each piece to tactics and strategy, this program will give beginners and experienced players a new appreciation and love of the game. Senior chess master Mikhail Perelsteyn will be teaching on Monday nights from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm for children in second grade and up.The first session is for beginners and the second session is for advanced players. Registration is required
Children in grades 3-5 are invited to our monthly, interactive, afterschool science club. The Science Explorers program will be structured around a science topic and easy experiments using everyday materials. Open to grades 3 and up.
Join Sandra Stolle, former teacher and Chess instructor, to learn how to play the game, learn new moves, and sharpen your skills. The January Chess Club is recommended for grades 2-6th, others with enthusiasm welcome. No prior experience necessary, and players of all skill levels are welcome - both new players and experienced players are sure to enjoy a fun yet challenging session.
The series will run for three Mondays and is free, but space is limited to first 12 children to register.
