Afterschool Chess Club at Abbot Library

Students in grades 2-5 are welcome to come to this informal chess club to practice by playing with others also interested in developing their skills and sharing an interest in chess. The class will be held on Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with facilitator Ben Konoff and his daughter, Abigail, helping kids with some of the basics of chess and getting live playing practice on a weekly basis.

Chess Club at Salem Public Library

Salem Public Library hosts a weekly chess club for all ages on Tuesday evenings.

Salem Public Library the library is hosting weekly chess nights where players of all ages can play and learn from each other. Whether you're new to the game or a veteran player, all skill levels welcome, and basic instruction will be provided. Pizza will also be provided! Open to all ages.

Chess Night at Beverly Library

BevRec and the Beverly Public Library are teaming up to offer Chess Nights in the Beverly Massachusetts Library.

You do not have access to view this node and BevRec are teaming up to offer Chess Nights in the Barnett Gallery in the main Library at 32 Essex St, Beverly. The first Monday of each month through December, come and play the world’s greatest game with your neighbors. This is not an instructional class, but rather a meet up for people who are looking to play.

Chess Club a HWPL

Kids can learn about chess at the Hamilton-Wenham Public Library in Massachusetts

Join Governor's Academy student, Dylan Uttam, for an 8 week workshoip in chess. There will be 8 Wednesday afternoon workshop sessions from September 20 until November 8. Designed for children ages 8 - 13 years old. Beginners & experienced players welcome! Space is limited. Registration is required.

Chess Club at Georgetown Library

The Chess Club at the library will be an informal gathering of students interested in playing chess with others. A knowledge of how to play chess is recommended. Weekly food based science sessions for kids 5 and up at Salem Public Library.
