The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that this year’s Kid’s ArtsFEST will be bigger and more interactive for 2016! The Kid’s ArtsFest event which is held in downtown Haverhill annually has been scheduled for Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 11 to 4 PM and will sprawl along Washington Street, Washington Square and Merrimack Street. Last year 8k-10k attendees visited chamber booths, and downtown retail locations and participated in family oriented activities during the 2015 Kids ArtsFEST. This year we are expecting 10k visitors and are stepping up to bring even more activity, art and fun to festival goers!

A major Centennial celebration that will kick off the Centennial year of events is the Food Truck Festival. Brooksby Farm has invited food truck vendors from across New England to commence the celebration with great food, entertainment for children and more!
Join the Salem Maritime National Historic Site for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Friendship of Salem with Captain Jeremy Bumagin, Rigger John Newman and ship volunteers. Participants can see and visit areas of the ship typically not open to the public, as well as learn about numerous ongoing maintenance projects.

Nothing to do after school on a Friday half day? Come to the Newbury Town Library for a movie! On Triton School District Half-Days (Professional Days), The Newbury Town Library will be showing movies at 1pm. Popcorn and water will be served. Enjoy music, vintage baseball, and farm activites featuring decades of American music.This festival celebrates everything from traditional songs to bluegrass, funk, folk, and beyond. Come for the music and stay for the whole day: Watch Vintage Base Ball played by 1861 rules. See tractors and farm equipment spanning the last eighty years. The Newbury Town Library invites kids to use everyday items like bananas to play a virtual piano or use a pencil and PlayDoh to make a controller for a computer game! Computer technology is everywhere and used by many professionals, including inventors, artists, teachers, engineers, musicians, scientists and computer programmers.
The Newbury Town Library invites kids to come and learn about electronics and basic circuits using the Arduino microcomputer and software. In this workshop for budding engineers or any young person wanting to learn about electronics, basic circuits will be explained and instructions given on how to build a simple robot.
There's a lot going during the Harvest Festival on Middle Street in Gloucester! Come to the Middle Street Harvest Festival for live music, museum tours, the Thanksgiving Cape Ann Farmers Market, a craft fair and chowder luncheon, story time and crafts for the kids, tours of the Gloucester Fire Station and more! A benefit concert will take place to raise funds for the Grace Center at Trinity Congregational Church of Gloucester. The Middle Street Harvest Festival is sponsored by Bank Gloucester and other local businesses.
