47th Annual Sheep Shearing Festival

Traditional Sheep Shearing Tools. Come to the 45th Annual Sheep Shearing Festival on the North Andover Common.

The North Andover Festival Committee is inviting you to the 47th annual Sheep Shearing Festival being held on the North Andover Common. The event is held from 10am to 4pm, and includes Sheep shearing and herding demonstrations, crafters, food vendors, pony rides, and much more! There will be free parking and a free shuttle from the Franklin and Middle Schools for your convenience. Hope you can join us for this fun and entertaining family event. See you there!

Imagine, Sing, & Learn: Ducks, Scud & Mud

Preschoolers will learn ducks, clams & other mud creatures at Joppa Flats Center

Preschoolers join Joppa Flats Naturalists in an active, fun, program where they will learn what makes a salt marsh special, what lives in a salt marsh, how these animals find their food, and a chance to touch and hold live animals from the salt marsh! Using group games, songs, and fun interactive props, we’ll turn your preschooler into estuary enthusiasts! We’ll also make a take home craft and enjoy a tasty salt marsh looking snack!

Halloween Decorating Workshop

Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes for Preschoolers

Kids will build their own fairy houses at Mosely Woods in Newburyport!

Join educators from Joppa Flats Education Center with your preschooler for an adventure to collect acorns, pine cones, lichen, bark, and moss at Newburyport's Mosely Woods! We'll use our imaginations to create woodland homes and creature friends with the natural materials we find. You'll go home with your fairyland dwellings and a new excitement for finding natural treasues and turning them into creative projects.

Pumpkin Carving at Art Haven

Come carve pumpkins at Art Haven in Gloucester Massachusetts!

Celebrate Halloween with us! Carve a pumpkin to take home for halloween, have your face painted and take a Halloween Photos too. Autumn Art Explorations: Nature Mobile

Kids will learn about nature through story, a hike and art at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary.

Candy Construction Challenge

If you can build it, you can eat it. Join us for a sweet challenge of building creations with candies, cookies, and more. Each teen will be given “building materials” and creations to make in a timed challenge. Creations will be scored by judges, with a first, second, and third place winner based on performance.
