Santa-by-the-Sea!

Santa will arrive at Masconomo Park by lobster boat at 1 pm on December 2, 2017

Come to the the annual Jingle Bell Walk in Manchester! Santa will arrive at Masconomo Park by boat and lead the children in a parade around the park and then be available for pictures. There will also be a petting zoo, crafts, face painting, a candy cane hunt, refreshments and a visit from Mrs. Claus!  Sponsored by the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, Manchester Community Center, Manchester Mothers' Club and the Parks and Recreation Department.

Winter Hibernation with Hands on Nature at MPL!

Kids will learn about hibernation and animals in winter at the Manchester Massachusetts Public Library!

How do your favorite animals spend the winter?  Join us as we learn how animals survive the coldest months of New England.  We will learn about hibernation, migration, and the amazing adaptations animals have for surviving our harshest temperatures.  Bring a stuffed animal and create a cozy little hibernation den to take home! Cape Ann Symphony Fantrasies and Mythology Concert in Manchester Massachusetts

Please join  the Cape Ann Symphony Woodwind Quintet and pianist Kathleen Forgac, presenting musical fantasies and works inspired by myths, legends and lore. This program will explore the magical sounds of the woodwind quintet and then showcase each of the instruments alone featuring works by Nielson, Poulenc, Mouquet, Debussy and others.

Solar Eclipse Viewing Party at MPL

Solar Eclipse Viewing Party at the Public Library in Manchester Massachusetts

Join us on the front lawn of the library for the cosmic event of the year! We will have a good view of an almost complete eclipse so long as the weather cooperates. We have a limited number of eclipse glasses that will be handed out during the event, 1 per person on a 1st come 1st served bases starting at 3PM. We will stream the full totality eclipse inside on the big screen. Come enjoy a celestial themed snack.
