Whether you're a beginner who'd like to learn to make their own jewelry and complete basic repairs, or simply need to practice your skills, this is the class for you! Join local artisan and re-maker Pam Farren (naturemadescents.com) and learn how to use basic tools, understand and source materials, and complete four different projects over four Sundays in January and February.

Our school vacation programs offer a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities while we keep minds active and hands busy during break! This Vacation Week Flyby will focus on common backyard North Shore birds that stick around in spite of Winter's cold.

What is happening underneath the layer of snow that covers the ground in winter? Find out about mice, voles, and shrews that may be busy and cozy right beneath your feet. We will make our own winter shelters out of snow and branches to see how warm we can make them.

This parent/child program is designed for the creative, curious, and active preschooler. Each 90-minute session offers a structured series of activities including original songs, movement, dramatic play, hands-on science, and a thematic snack. You'll receive coloring pages, song lyrics, vocabulary, a fun fact sheet, and a suggested reading list via email.  In these sessions we'll explore the wonders of ice!

This Week's Fly-by is a little different!  We will have the entire building dedicated to creating whimsical and clever gifts and ornaments for the holidays using natural materials! Everything from magic wands, mobiles, hand puppets, animal masks, to bracelets, candle holders & instruments! There is no family presentation scheduled for this “workshop” themed program.

Teens are invited to come decorate cookies for the holidays, for gifts, or just for after school. See if you can make the most creative cookie using different colored frostings and toppings! No sign-ups necessary, just come by!

Tick, tock, tick, tock! Ring in the new year by designing and making your own working clock. Grades 3 - 6. Sign up online or in the Children's Room beginning Monday, December 5.
