Topsfield Fair

Topsfield Fair is one of the longest running annual fairs in the United States

The Topsfield Fair is a perennial favorite for us.  We're not the biggest fans of the midway, although it is always worth a walkthrough and a ride or two.  We love fruits and vegetables, and are always on the lookout for the winning 'biggest pumpkin'.  Another favorite is checking out the pigs and other farm animals, as well as the interesting variety of guinea pigs and rabbits.

Team Haverhill’s River Ruckus

Come celebrate Haverhill's River Front at the River Ruckus!

Team Haverhill's River Ruckus is an annual city-wide festival celebrating the natural resources and beauty of the Merrimack River and the economic and cultural revitalization of the City of Haverhill, MA. Presented by Team Haverhill, a community-based volunteer organization, the festival attracts over 5,000 visitors and residents for a day of family activities including a Classic Car show, live music produced by 92.5 The River, children's activities in the Kids Zone, food from local restaurants, an art exhibition, a crafts show, and spectacular fireworks over the mighty Merrimack River!

We''ll create a fantastic menu of sweet & savory recipes featuring sun-kissed field strawberries as the star ingredient. Strawberry, Basil, & Goat Cheese Flatbread, Grilled Pork & Field Berry Salad with Hazelnuts, and delicious country-style Summer Strawberry Cake are just some of the dishes that will appear on this very special strawberry crop menu! This hands-on workshop includes instruction by professional chef Carolyn Grieco, printed recipe booklet and a full meal. BYOB beer and wine is allowed.

45th Annual Sheep Shearing Festival

Traditional Sheep Shearing Tools.  Come to the 45th Annual Sheep Shearing Festival on the North Andover Common.

The North Andover Festival Committee is inviting you to the 45th annual Sheep Shearing Festival being held Sunday, May 21st on the North Andover Common. The event is held from 10am to 4pm, and includes Sheep shearing and herding demonstrations, crafters, food vendors, pony rides, and much more! There will be free parking and a free shuttle from the Franklin and Middle Schools for your convenience. Hope you can join us for this fun and entertaining family event. See you there!

Join Appleton Farms for oem fun on the farm! Have you ever collected warm eggs from the chicken coop or seen how fast sheep will run for their morning helping of grain? Join us for our NEW weekend Hay Bale Hangout and spend the day at Appleton Farms. Stop by for fantastic farmyard meet and greets! Hands on activities start at 10AM and run every ½ hour. Greet the goats, make a wool bracelet, cuddle a calf, farm story time, collect chicken eggs and more! In between activities hang out in the Carriage Barn and explore our all-day learning stations or picnic outside in the Stone Paddock!
