Learn and improve ukulele skills at the Ukulele Melee at the Cutler School in Hamilton!

Ukulele of Boston, The Friends of Cutler, and Cutler String Jam Presents Ukulele Melee 2017! The Ukulele Melee is a day of workshops, performances and ukulele fun! This year’s event will take place on June 10th at the Cutler School in Hamilton from 12 to 4:30 p.m. The headliners for 2017 will be featuring Jim and Liz Beloff. Tickets sold at the door. Parking is free. All proceeds are being donated to the Ukulele Kids Club.

February Vacation Outdoor Ice Skating Fun at MarketStreet Lynnfield

Since ice skating is the perfect winter activity, The MarketStreet Rink, presented by Lahey Health, expands its hours for President’s Day and February break.

One of the best skating rinks in the region, The MarketStreet Rink is a classic 58 x 105 foot skating rink accented by a beautiful array of illuminated snowflake lights. Situated on The Green, home to MarketStreet Lynnfield’s community events, performances and gatherings, it has views of Reedy Meadow. A 200-ton refrigeration unit ensures optimal ice temperature, even in warmer temperatures. Details can be accessed here.

The rink is located at 600 Market Street, Lynnfield, MA 01940, neighboring J.Crew, Vineyard Vines, J.P. Licks, lululemon athletica and FuGaKyu Japanese Cuisine. Guests can rent skates or bring their own.

Dirt Detectives

Come to Spencer-Pierce-Little Farm and give your kids a shot at archaeology!

Come to  Spencer Peirce Little Farm for a program for homeschool families. Whether attending the morning or afternoon session, families are invited to have lunch at the property. Students become archaeologists as they excavate a mock pit with actual tools of the trade and process (put together) reproduction artifacts in a field lab. Inside the museum, they explore building archaeology via trap doors. They analyze objects to learn about daily life at the farm over the last three hundred years.

From mid-November 2017 through February 2018, one of the most popular ice skating experiences in New England can be found at MarketStreet Lynnfield. The MarketStreet Rink offers public skating 7 days a week with extended hours during school vacation.

The North Shore’s leading outdoor shopping destination is pleased to share that The MarketStreet Rink presented by Lahey Health, will return for the fifth year in a row, enhancing MarketStreet Lynnfield’s entertainment, shopping and dining experience all winter long. Weather permitting, the MarketStreet Rink is slated to open the weekend of November 10th with grand opening activities on Saturday, November 11, 2017, including free hot cocoa, live entertainment, giveaways, and more.

Help Griffin Bouchard help others by attending his fundraiser skate at the Pingree rink in Hamilton! Dig out your skates and bring the family to the Pingree Skating Rink to skate with Boston Bruins legend Rick Middleton, Blades the Bear, Andrew Alberts and other guests. There will be great raffle prizes including signed Bruins jersey and stick, food, and a chance to scrimmage against the Boston Shamrocks Sled hockey team! All proceeds go to Boston Children Hospital’s concussion prevention/brain trauma center.

As part of this community-wide event, tour the Spencer-Pierce-Little House, enjoy hot cider and donuts for sale in the visitor center, and then walk to the nearby town-sponsored bonfire fueled by Christmas trees in the growing fields of Tendercrop Farm!

The Cape Ann Skating Club celebrates Winter with an exhibition & festival.

Winter Ice Skating Festival! Come see our skaters perform! From our adorably young skaters to our amazing senior club skaters!! The show is free, there will also be free hot cocoa and a bake sale. The show is 11am to 12pm; arts & crafts & used skate sale from 12pm to 1pm and then a family open skate from 1pm to 2pm. The open skate is only $5 per family!! Come enjoy the day with yours!
