Holiday Skating Exhibition & Learn to Skate

Holiday Skating Exhibition & Learn to Skate

B received hand-me-down ice skates that fit him just beautifully this year. I took them over to Palazola's Sporting Goods to have them sharpened and I was looking forward to getting him on the ice over at the O'Maley/The Dorothy Talbot Rink during their "Open Skate" sessions. Tomorrow, the Cape Ann Skating Club is having a Holiday Exhibition and it'll be a great opportunity to get him on skates and excited about learning to skate.

The schedule is as follows:

11:30 the doors will open and there'll be crafts, refreshments and picture opportunities with Santa.

12:30 the skating exhibition will begin. All skaters with full club membership, regardless of level, are encouraged to perform. Skaters usually skate a program to a holiday song, which they choose, that is choreographed by their private coach. Skaters can choose to do a solo, a duo, a trio, or a group number.

2:00 - 3:00 skating will be open to the public with a skate lesson offered with a $2 donation.

3:00 a raffle of a signed Bruin's Hockey Stick.

See you there!
