Kids and their favorite adult can listen to a lively reading of M.T. Anderson's fascinating tale The Serpent Came to Gloucester , based on the true story of a sea serpent's arrival in Gloucester Harbor during the early 19th Century. Kids will then use their imagination to create their own sea monster sand painting.

Founded in 1793, Lowell's Boat Shop is the oldest continuously operating wooden boat shop in the United States. Now a National Historic Landmark, Lowell's continues to build wooden boats in the traditional method.
The annual Powow River sunset blessing, is a long tradition to offer positive intentions and blessings to the Powow River. Families who attend the autumn equinox event find many interesting activities. Children can create a craft project, walk the labyrinth, view a vintage river post card exhibit, and enjoy refreshments from Cider Hill Farm.
