Sparky's puppets is entertaining for preschool on up! In this adventure, a scientist builds a time machine and sets the dial for the past... and then the future! What will he discover? All told with handmade puppets and involving three tales this will be a hit with the whole familiy! Miss Lisa of the Joppa Flats Education Center visits Amesbury Public Library each month for a 1 hour program focused on pre-schoolers! Participants will be engaged, excited, and learning about all kinds of things in nature. Each program is an hour long and includes hands-on activities, group role play, and fun take homes. Fanfiction refers to stories produced by fans based on plot lines and characters from either a single source text or multiple sources; these fan-created narratives often take the pre-existing storyworld in a new, sometimes bizarre, direction. While the activities of fans may take many forms, writing stories deriving from one or more source texts has long been the most popular way of showing their passion for a particular fictional universe. Visit the Salisbury Point Railroad Historical Society for Trails & Sails 2018! Salisbury Point Station was originally built by the Eastern Railroad in 1870 and has since been totally restored. Our Water Street "museum" houses artifacts and Railroad "Memorabilia" as well as a collection of historic photographs dating from the early 1800's to the late 1970's. We also maintain and run seven model railroad layouts, in a variety of gauges. Visitors are invited to drive some of the trains (especially Thomas)!
