FUNStart Sports Performance Training is designed for kids, ages 4-5 years old. This is a key time to develop speed, coordination, flexibility, balance and mobility. On top of that, kids can gain strength and learn basic movement patterns needed in most every sport. This type of activity is the basis for future athletic development.
This class meets one time per week for 45 min. Each class focuses on fun, but key, athletic movement patterns and sports which will support the development of coordination, strength, speed and flexibility. Most importantly, these kids will build confidence to take along their journey in lots of other ways!
In Manchester, legion members and parade participants will assemble Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the Amaral-Bailey Post 113 for a brief seaside service. Wreaths and flowers will be dropped into the harbor in remembrance of those lost at sea. The parade then will move on to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery to salute fallen armed-forces personnel.

The Manchester Memorial PTO is gearing up for the annual "Hit the Street for Little Feet" 5K Road Race, 1M Fun Run and Family Fitness Festival. The 5k race route which goes throughout picturesque Manchester-by-the-Sea will precede the 1-mile Fun Run. Following the races, participants are invited to enjoy a community celebration with fun fitness challenges, obstacle courses, sport specific challenges, local food carts, vendors and more.

After-school activities include lending a hand with conservation work, eco-splorations, journeying as a waterdrop from land to sea, uncovering secret tales, journaling, mapping/orienteering, and hiking our forest, wetlands, and mountainsides. This new yoga class at Manchester Athletic Club is designed to support Mother and Baby during pregnancy and to prepare for childbirth. Conducted in a calm and peaceful environment, you will gently stretch, strengthen and release tension from the body through yoga poses and breathing techniques.
The Manchester Athletic Club will be hosting the annual Pedal to End Cancer Fundraiser on Sunday March 3, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. along with over 60 clubs throughout New England. It is a 3-hour Indoor Cycling event with an effort to raise funds towards the American Cancer Society. We are looking for participants or donations help with this fun and inspiring event! MAC hopes to raise $50,000 at our event this year to help create more birthdays!
