Gran Prix of Gloucester

The Gran Prix of Gloucester is an annual international cyclocross race held in Gloucester Massachusetts in the beautiful setting of Stage Fort Park by the sea.

The Gran Prix of Gloucesteris two days of international calibre races where competitors from all over the US, Canada & Europe converge to race in North America by the sea at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Cyclocross is the most spectator-friendly form of bicycle racing, so bring the family and join the excitement.  Who knows? Maybe next year someone in your family will be part of the action! Hosted by ECV - Essex County Velo and Ipswich Brewing

ECTA Trail Jamboree

Essex County Trail Association Jamboree at Groton House Farm in Hamilton Massachusetts!

Come Walk, Run, Bike and Ride on guided trail adventures (for all levels) followed by a party featuring live music, live animals, games, great food trucks and local beer from the Tapmobiles of Ipswich Ale Brewery. Trail activities from 1-3pm and party from 3-6pm. Get outdoors and have fun while supporting ECTA and the 450 miles of trails that we maintain for your access to walk, run, cycle and ride!

Bike Safety Rodeo

Manchester Bike and Pedestrian Committee together with Manchester-Essex Rotary Club are sponsoring a bike safety rodeo!

Manchester Bike and Pedestrian Committee together with Manchester-Essex Rotary Club are sponsoring a bike safety rodeo! Kids ages 5-14 are encouraged to bring their bikes for a bike and helmet safety check. This event will focus on safety tips and training, with an obstacle course and bike handling skills instruction.  Snacks will be provided.  Sign up via email, or on the day of the event!

Seaside Cycle Family Trail Ride

Join Seaside Cycle on a family bike ride in the woods of Grodon College in Beverly Massachusetts

Do you have a kid or two that wants to get their mountain bike on the trails but aren't sure how to get them started? Or does your child ride at school and want to go out with you? We've got the perfect ride for you! How technical the ride is will depend on participant ability and we are happy to give tips and instruction as we go. We meet up behind Gordon College and loop through their trails for about an hour.

Hamilton Public Safety Day

Hamilton's Public Safety Day includes a bike rodeo, ice cream, firefighter demos and touch a truck!

The Hamilton Department of Public Safety will provide tours of the public safety buildings along with displays of all police, fire and ambulance vehicles. There will be live demonstrations and attractions for all ages, including the Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit and a vehicle extrication demonstration by the Hamilton Fire Department. Food and drinks will be provided by Beauport Ambulance, and ice cream will be provided by Cherry Farms Creamery of Danvers.

Bike Hike

Take a casual bike ride on the trails at Harold Parker State Forest!

Meets at Campground Nature Center - This is a casual paced bike ride through forest trails. Great for families and also those new to trail riding. Helmets are required and you should bring water and insect repellent and sun screen. Appropriate for children over 10 years old.

Annual Ectathlon

The Essex County Trail Association ECTAthlon includes horseback riding, kayaking, mountain biking and running!

The ECTA annual ECTAthlon is friendly relay competition held at Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield and Hamilton and on private trails in Ipswich where teams or individuals compete in running, mountain biking, horseback riding and kayaking events.  This unique event, which will be held on Saturday, June 4th, was envisioned as a way to bring diverse trail users together in a fun and exciting way, and to highlight the incredible network of trails in our area.  The June 4th date also coincides with American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day, a series of nationwide events celebrating trails and trail access.

Kid's Bicycle Safety Day

Come to the First Annual Kid's Bike Safety Day hosted by Big Mike's Bikes!

All children are welcome at Big Mike's Bikes first annual Kids' Bicycle Safety Day at O'Maley Innovation School in Gloucester! We will have an obstacle course that teaches hand signals and rules of the road, a free bicycle safety check, and great prizes like new helmets and bike lights! We will be in the parking lot between the ice rink and skate park. Bring the whole family!
