TOHP Burnham Public Library invites children, ages 3 and older, join us as we celebrate Chinese New Year and The Year of the Dragon. We'll read stories and make our own dragon to bring home. Drop-ins are welcome but if you plan to attend, we'd love to know!

If you are in grades 4-7 and answered yes to any of these questions, join the library's Graphic Novel Club today! We meet monthly from January to June. Phonemic Friends is an interactive pre-literacy program for caregivers with children ages 2 through 5 years old. Together, we will practice important early literacy, language and articulation skills through stories, songs and activities for young children and their caregivers to use together! Program will be provided by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Siblings welcome!

The Hale Farm is hosting a community reading event of Frederick Douglass's famous speech titled "What to the American Slave is the Fourth of July?" The event is part of the Reading Frederick Douglass Together initiative and will feature Nathan Richardson portraying Frederick Douglass. The event is a collaborative effort involving the City of Beverly, North Shore NAACP, Salem United, Waring School, and other organizations. Special guest speakers will also be present.
Ipswich Public Library invites kids and families to kick off the Summer Reading program with Otha Day's Drum to the Beat! The library is hosting a live interactive musical session on the lawn of the Hall Haskell House at 36 S. Main Street. The summer theme is Find Your Voice, and the Children's Room at Ipswich Public Library has planned an amazing drumming program to start off Summer Reading. This program promises lots of audience participation and is designed as a family event for children and the young at heart.
The Essex County Greenbelt Association welcomes you to join them at the Book Shop of Beverly Farms to celebrate Earth Day! Pick up a copy of Greenbelt's Bring Along Family Nature Guide featuring 15 activity filled hikes on the North shore. There will also be hands on activities for kids in the store.
