See live raptors up close. In this much-anticipated program, Bethani Garland, a wildlife biologist and rehabilitator from On the Wing, will present audiences with five different raptors (birds of prey). You will observe the birds and learn their different calls, the best locations to sight hawks, falcons, and owls, and understand how different body shapes affect how raptors hunt their prey in the air.
Peabody Essex Museum celebrates Earth Day in Salem Massachusetts. Join in a variety of hands-on activities in Wes Sam-Bruce’s Mobile Art Studio. Consider what freedom means to you and your relationship with nature through writing prompts inspired by the Jewish Arts Collaborative and National Poetry Month. Meet members from the Backyard Growers Program, a nonprofit organization that has built more than 200 raised bed gardens, serving hundreds of Gloucester residents, and learn about the food system, the garden ecosystem and the science behind growing food.

Join the Trustess of Reservations on Earth Day at Crane Beach in Ipswich Massachsuetts for their Annual Earth Day beach cleanup! The harsh winter ocean can deliver tons of marine debris to our shores, and before shorebird season gets into full swing we aim to sweep the beach of trash. Due to the high interest we usually get for this event, we ask that people register in advance.
Earth Day is celebrated in a big way at the Children’s Museum of NH, with a focus on learning how to support a healthy planet. The museum will be hopping with a variety of demonstrations, activities and information as we celebrate Earth Day! With the help of some special guests from around our community, visitors will get their hands dirty while learning about our Earth, the environment, our local ecosystem and much more! Kelly, of On the Wing Raptor Rehabilitation, will reprise the hugely popular program that she delivered as part of last year’s Earth Day celebration. No preregistration for this program.
