Look for signs of our local predators on the prowl and learn about how prey animals have evolved to evade them in this family-friendly walk. Appropriate for all ages - we’ll talk scientifically about what types of animals are predators or prey, without going into especially gory details.

There's nothing like October in Salem and the Salem Common Neighborhood Association is thrilled to host two weekends of our annual Kids Fun Fest on the Common including rides, face painting, slides and family fun! There is no admission fee to enter the Fun Fest. Ticket purchase proceeds benefit the Salem Common Neighborhood Association.

This Community Block Party is also a fundraiser for the Magnolia Library and the Magnolia Community Farmer's Market. As part of COASTSWEEP Beach Cleanup, volunteers are encouraged to come to Forest River Park to help in the statewide effort to keep our coastline clean along the shore of Salem Massachusetts. Trash collected will be measured and analyzed, and the data will be sent to Washington DC to aid the government in creating legislation to minimize trash in our oceans!

The Magnolia Community Farmer’s Market will reopen in June of 2021 with a full line up of vendors, followers, entertainment and community purpose. We hope to offer favorite flavors, produce and products, created and operated by local vendors, crafters, artisans, farmers, purveyors, bakers, and chefs. Our dedicated team will strive to provide the very best in local goods while creating a new avenue to give back to our community. Funds raised by the MCFM will directly benefit the enrichment of Magnolia.
