We’ll prepare a complete menu including both sweet & savory dishes using apples sourced from local orchards, with recipes such as Apple, Onion, & Cheddar Tart, Brick Chicken with Roasted Apples, Sage, & Cider Pan Gravy, Sweet & Sour Braised Red Cabbage with Apples, Caramel Apple Bread Pudding.
Join Cape Ann Trail Stewards for a 5 mile trail race through Dogtown. All participants will earn a one year membership to Cape Ann Trail Stewards, and all profits from this race will go back to trails on Cape Ann.This race will cross landscapes that are unique to Cape Ann only, providing runners with a technical, exciting course guaranteed to challenge even the most nimble runners.

The Manchester Public Library invites you to come learn about SCUBA diving from a family that scuba dives together! The Houghton family of Manchester will share their experiences diving locally,taking great underwater photos, and what it is like to share this exciting family activity.
Come to the Gloucester High School Field House as the Boston Red Sox Trophy Tour stops on Cape Ann! This event is open to the public and it gives peopel a chance to see the World Series trophy up close, and a chance to have their photo taken with the 2013 Championship trophy!
Come see baseball the way it was played during the time of the Civil War. See the Providence Grays take on the Brooklyn Atlantics in an 1864 style vintage base ball game. See how much the game has changed from the time of no gloves, wool uniforms, and heavy wooden bats. Event is free for all to attend.
Daisy Nell and Captain Stan visit the library to introduce Daisy’s new book [amazon 978-0615455075 inline] and lead a sing-along. Daisy Nell, native of Essex, MA, brings alive New England’s maritime history through traditional songs of the sea. A familiar voice on the North Shore music scene, she is known for her broad repertoire of traditional folk, chanteys, and contemporary songs. Her husband, Capt. Stan, adds his guitar and dobro to Daisy's banjo and guitar.
Children are invited to wear their pajama to the library for a holiday themed story time! Sing songs, hear a story and have a bedtime snack! Stuffies are welcome and encouraged! Suitable for ages 4 and up.
