If you’re curious about Berwick Academy it is never too early (or too late!) to see the campus and experience our community. Join us for our Spring Admission Sneak Peek on Friday, May 26 when we will be offering tours at 1:15 p.m. during our student-run outdoor concert, Woofstock.
Berwick Academy is a Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 independent school in southern Maine.
We offer 6 bus routes including stops in Newburyport and West Newbury, MA. Many of our 600+ students come from the North Shore of Massachusetts.

Bald Eagles are our goal as we search the skies and trees near the mouth of the Merrimack River on Eagle Festival Saturday. Choose among eight opportunities to join us to observe the surprises among all our winter-visiting birds, including many species of raptors, ducks, and more. Families with children ages 8 and above are welcome. Prices for these hour-and-a-half programs are deeply discounted, thanks to the generosity of our Eagle Festival sponsors, Boston Partners Financial Group and Newburyport Bank.

Bring your toddler to enjoy story time and looking activities in the galleries, followed by art making. Tours leave on a rolling basis starting at 10:15 am. The last tour leaves at 10:55 am. Maritime Gloucester kicks off Shark Week with a great experiential learning craft that's as fun as it is educational! Visitors of all ages are invited to participate in the Shark Week Chalkquarium! Drop by for this free event to draw a "Great White Chalk" and other life-sized sharks and rays on the pavement around Maritime Gloucester! All of our regularly-scheduled drop-in programs will also be shark-themed until August 10.

The Manchester Memorial Elementary School 5th Grade Class will host a screening of the critically acclaimed 'Race to Nowhere', where a concerned mother turned filmmaker aims her camera at the culture of hollow achievement and pressure to perform that has invaded America’s schools. It is destroying our children’s love of learning and feeding an epidemic of unprepared, disengaged, and unhealthy students. This film focuses on the issues facing children in the school systems of America today, and leaves you thinking about what it really takes to produce a happy, motivated, creative human being.
