Now in its 52nd year, the Marblehead Festival of Arts has had a rich history in producing an annual summer arts Festival over the July 4th holiday week. This premier Festival hosts art exhibits in Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Photography, Crafts, Plein aire Painting, Senior Art, Student Art and Youth Art. There's also a lot of great events and activities geared toward keeping kids and families engaged and entertained!
Newburyport Yankee Homecoming Kid's Day in the Park activities include decorated bicycle and doll carriage parades, face painting, playlet by Theater in the Open, K9 Demonstration, Storybook Readings, City Fire, Police and DPW and Ambulance vehicles. Free admission

Children in grades 1 - 12, ages 6 - 18 who are residents or students in the Newburyport Schools and the immediate surrounding areas will be allowed to participate.
Yankee Homecoming invites you to the Ninth Annual High School Battle of the Bands. Local High School aged bands will compete to see who rises to the top and wins the opportunity to open for a YHC Waterfront Concert as well as cash and prizes! Watch local student bands battle it out on the stage, and help your favorite band by voting for them!
How wonderful to have kids view the world through a 64-color box of Crayola Crayons instead of an 8-color box, and the Children's Festival is here to help bring out the artist in every child. The Children’s Festival is a unique "hands on" arts-based program of activities directed toward children aged ten years and younger. . All activities are free of charge and all children should be accompanied by an adult.
Lace up your running shoes and join us for the annual Melody Miles Road Race where you’ll make your way through the streets of beautiful Hamilton and Wenham featuring student singers and instrumentalists at the starting line and along the Melody Miles course. The 5K and 5-Mile races begin at 10am. Walkers are also welcome.
