The Gloucester Public School Arts Festival is hosted by the GEF

Join the Gloucester Education Foundation in honoring the multi-faceted pool of talent that makes up the population of the Gloucester Public Schools. Kids of all ages make beautiful and amazing art and the creators of the citywide festival seek to celebrate GPS students, their art and those helping our students live, learn and create every day. Come to Downtown Gloucester for a full day of performances and exhibitions that cover a wide range of arts, from ballroom dancing to a day long community art project that is created by participants and visitors alike.

The Beantown Double Dutch Jumpers

Beantown Jumpers Double Dutch Jump Rope Demonstration Team

The Manchester Public Library Presents: The Beantown Jumpers Double Dutch Team! This demonstration event is a lot of energetic fun for everyone! The team will perform a “Fusion” music presentation and then they will demonstrate the jumping styles necessary for competitions, including speed (2 minutes), compulsory (25 second dance routine) and a free-style (tricks) routine (1 minute).  After the presentation, group participation with the team is encouraged. Audience members will learn how to jump in, turn the ropes and some jump rope tricks!

An Evening of Guitar

Adam Levin & Quentin Callewaert will perfrom at the Firehouse Center for the Art

The Firehouse Center for the Arts invites you to an evening of guitar featuring renowned guitarist Adam Levin and 12 year old prodigy Quentin Callewaert! Adam Levin has been praised by renowned American guitarist, Eliot Fisk, as a “virtuoso guitarist and a true 21st century renaissance man.” Local guitarist Quentin Callewaert is a 12-year old prodigy of the classical and steel string guitar.

The Methuen Ballet Ensemble will interpret Peter Pan at the Firehouse Center for

Methuen Ballet Ensemble will present the tale of Peter Pan, the boy who refuses to grow up! Join Peter as he takes Wendy, John, and Michael Darling on the greatest adventure any siblings have ever had! Peter whisks the children off to Neverland where they meet the lost boys, Tinker Bell and Princess Tiger Lily. Together, they wage fierce battles against the evil Captain Hook and his band of pirates. Will Peter Pan return the Darling children safely to their home? Come to the Firehouse Center for the Arts to find out!

Leapin' Lizards! The popular comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world's best-loved musicals. With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Come enjoy a local cast of dozens of talented student actors as they remind all of us that the sun will come out tomorrow! Produced through special arrangement with Music Theater International.

Reading and Dance Performance in Rockport

Come to Rockport Library for a book reading, followed by a dance performance!

Don't miss a Reading and Dance Performance of Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig with author David Ira Rottenberg and ballerinas from Nadine's Dance Center of Gloucester. Following the performance, dancers will lead children in a mini-movement lesson. Bring their dancing shoes, and don't forget the camera!

Circus-O-Scenario is a romantic comedy the entire family will enjoy! The circus-themed, Cyrano de Bergerac inspired story lin follows the adventures of Bobo the clown, a poet and romantic whose station in life is reason for his self-doubt. He finds himself involved in a love triangle and is taken advantage of by the handsome and shallow Ring Master who intimidates Bobo into writing love letters to the beautiful Priscilla, the high wire aerialist, on behalf of the Ring Master.

North Shore Christian Men's Choir

The North Shore Christian Men's Choir will perform FREE in Rockport!

Celebrate the Holidays with the North Shore Christian Men's Choir as they perform a free Christmas concert celebrating the Rockport's 66th Annual Christmas Pageant. Special guests are Scott Clements on Trumpet and Colette Daniels on Hand Bells. A time of socialization and refreshments will follow.

Bah humbug boys and girls! Theater in the Open has put together a traditional holiday performance where their favorite holiday classic collides with the slap-stick pun-tastic world of Panto!  Now that Little Red and Will Scarlett have fixed up everything in Sure-Wouldn't Forest, they’re off on another adventure for the holidays, with figgy-pudding, smoking-bishop and ghosts that’ll scare the Dickens out of you (“They’re right behind you!”)!  When the Sheriff is confronted by three spirits in the night will he stop being such a Scrooge?
