The annual Middle Street Walk 2017 wraps up every year with the lighting of the lobster trap Christmas tree in Gloucester Massachusetts! Stop by Cape Ann Art Haven for a Holiday Party with hot chocolate, sweet treats, kids' crafts, holiday photos, face painting live music. Caroling starts at 4:30pm, followed by the tree lighting across the street at 5pm. Come find your buoy hanging on the tree, enjoy caroling, seeing the star put on the tree join us for the countdown and celebrate the season with the lighting of our Lobster Trap Tree!
Essex National Heritage Area sites offer over 150 free family fun events over two weekends each September for the annual celebration of TRAILS & SAILS. Participants can hike, bike, paddle, stroll or sail through the region and Essex National Heritage Area will provide a passport to fun and adventure. The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce invites you to Marblehead to enjoy four days of holiday festivities, family events and activities! Come for one or all four days with highlights that include Santa's arrival by lobster boat, the town tree lighting ceremony, Holiday shopping preview parties, the Christmas Walk Parade, 'Holidays are Grand' live performances, a great raffle with great prizes, and all kinds of family events and activities sponsored by local merchants and organizations!
To kick off the Essex Holiday Festival, people gather in town for the Lighting of the Memory Tree. This special occasion give people to reflect as a group on the loved one that have gone before them. The town’s children’s bell choir performs in the background.
The Community House Of Hamilton & Wenham invites children to bring their own flashlight or glowsticks for the tree and gazebo lighting and a Christmas Carol Sing for all ages! Brian Doser, Peter Stewart and Joe Scuderi team up for an exciting musical evening with a few Special Guests. Booklets of carols are provided. A half hour of singing followed by cocoa, cookies, lighting the Gazebo and downtown Christmas Tree. A great way to kick off your Christmas celebrations.
Gloucester's Holiday Parade has been a is a great tradition to kick off the holidays! Come enjoy the parade, Santa, and the tree lighting at Kent Circle! Volunteers will line up parade participants at the State Fish Pier on Parker Street at 2:00 PM and will guide them through downtown Gloucester and on to Kent Circle for the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.

As part of the Christmas-by-the-Sea celebrations in Manchester there will be a Christmas concert at the First Parish Church and the tree lighting ceremony at Manchester Town Green immediately after the concert.
