North Shore Polar Plunge

Take the Polar Plunge in Salem or Beverly Massachusetts to raise funds for local non profits!

North Shore Community Development Coalition, in partnership with River House and the Salem Education Foundation, are set to host the 11th Annual Polar Plunge. This event brings families, friends, and community members together to benefit the organization’s efforts to build affordable housing and strengthen communities in the North Shore. Join hundreds of brave supporters of all ages as they jump into the wintery waves to raise money for neighbors in need right here on the North Shore of Boston.

Stund Dog Productions is a family owned and operated company that strives to produce family-friendly shows that appeal to animal lovers all over North America! They are paws down the most entertaining in the industry. Since the creation of the show in 1999, Chris has produced over 8000 live shows nationwide and in Canada.

Excelsis Percussion Quartet

The Excelsis Percussion Quartet will perform at Salem State University.

From the four corners of the planet, the love of percussion and performance has brought together Marcelina Suchocka (Poland), Aya Kaminaguchi (Japan), Clara Warnaar (Canada-United States), and Mariana Ramirez (Mexico) as the Excelsis Percussion Quartet. These amazing women, hailing from four different countries and speaking four different languages, blend their talents to speak the universal language of rhythm with innovative perception. EXCELSIS invites the world into a celebration of percussion with its pageantry of marimbas, drums, cymbals, xylophones, and vibraphones.

Launch! Salem

Celebrate New Years Eve at Salem Massachusetts' Town Hall with your family!

The early portion of the evening will be the traditional LAUNCH! event. This event is free to all and family-friendly, with a $5 suggested donation to help support Salem Main Streets’ “Holiday Happenings” initiatives, including the Holiday Tree and the wreaths and ribbons around the downtown. Family programming will include hat making, photo booth, kids’ silent disco, interactive art exhibit with Phil Wyman, and more! There will be an early countdown just before 6 pm.

Christmas in Salem House Tour

Tour some of Salem Massachsuetts' historic houses all done up for the Holidays!

Few communities have the rich legacy of historic houses that Salem, Massachusetts boasts. These homes, spanning four centuries, help define the character as well as the appearance of the city, and every year some of their owners invite visitors in to view their homes decked out in full holiday regalia, with the help of  professional decorators and florists. Christmas in Salem features a glimpse into these private homes that have been professionally decorated for the holiday season as well as a series of special events such as walking tours and wine tastings that are exclusive to Christmas in Salem ticket holders.

Lunar Attraction features artworks and interactives that explore our longstanding fascination and connection with the moon, ranging from myths about the connection between werewolves and the full moon to the gravitational pull that controls Earth's tides to the 21st-century international race to build a base on the moon.
