Wild Turkey 5 Mile Road Race

Run like a turkey through downtown Salem MA on Thanksgiving Day! Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem.

Join the fun for the 14th annual Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run in downtown Salem Massachusetts Thanksgiving morning and raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem! This is the largest race on the North Shore, with 2,000 anticipated participants. The race starts on the Salem Common and finishes at the Boys & Girls Club. Chip timing done by Racewire.

Salem Zombie Walk

The Salem Zombie Walk is a fun time for all, and kinda scary! Salem Massachusetts Haunted Happenings

The Salem Zombiewalk has been an annual event for a number of years. This is a great family-friendly event of a genre that incorporates all aspects of life, or rather, undead that takes place in Halloweentown, USA during Halloween Season. Prior to the Zombiewalk, participants gather at Collins Cove Park for some field day activities, last minute costume tweaks and alterations, and of course to admire other lovers of the Zombie theme. Pets are welcome, so long as they are crowd friendly and well-behaved (and don't mind Zombies). Details are on the official flyer, please look for it on Facebook, and share the event. Fun activities start at 3:30pm with zombie kickball, parade at 4:30.

Celebrate 400 Years of Maritime History at Derby Wharf in Salem Massachusetts! V

Presented by the Salem Maritime National Historic Site, the annual Salem Maritime Festival in August hosts an exciting array of free family fun festivities, including live music, traditional craft demonstrations and seaport trade exhibits, story-telling, and family fun! Each year, music, demonstrations, exhibits, and children's activities are available throughout the park and on Derby Wharf.

The Salem Maritime Festival is hosted by Salem Maritime, your national park in Salem in cooperation with Essex Heritage. From live music, historical re-enactors, and tall ships, to interactive programs and crafts for families, all events and activities are free and open to the public. Stay tuned to learn more about what's in store for you at the 2016 Festival!  There's also fun activities planned just for kids!

Paddle for Plummer is a fun and fantastic annual fundraiser for the Plummer Home in Salem MA

Paddle for Plummer is a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) fundraiser event that  includes Elite, Recreational and Fun Paddles. Elites will complete a 5 mile paddle, recreational paddlers will complete a 2 mile paddle and a short course (1 or 2 mile) will be available for fun paddlers. There will be food, beverages, music, raffles, and more.  All proceeds to the Plummer Home.
