Wild Kratts® LIVE 2.0 – Activate Creature Power®!,the theatrical production starring Martin and Chris Kratt, based on the Emmy-nominated hit PBS KIDS series, will bring audiences along on a “wild” ride with a dynamic mix of live-action and animation.
The Trustees of Reservations hosts an afternoon of fun herpetology at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate with Rick Roth of the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team! We’ll start with a hunt for local snake species around the Crane Estate, looking under logs and around the stone walls that lace the property. Capture will be strictly catch and release! We’ll then make our way to the Barn where Rick Roth, founder and executive director of the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team and local snake expert, will present "Snakes of New England and the World." Rick cares for over 100 snakes of all different species -- even if we don’t find any slithering friends on our hunt, there will be plenty of snakes to see and learn about during the show.
Did you know that the moon snail uses its radula (a tongue-like rasping organ) to bore a small hole in a clam shell and then sucks out the flesh of its victim? Join us to learn about the fascinating lives of animals of the seashore and to discover the new treasures of animal shells that have washed up on the beach. Please dress for the weather. Kestrel Educational Adventures invites you meet at the 'Get Outside Center' and caravan to a nearby wild to explore, get muddy, go wading, or stay dry and just watch! Kestrel naturalist Clayton Kern will lead an adventure in the study of reptiles and amphibians. Each week, participants will learn to catch and identify animals and will participate in a wildlife study. Your findings will be displayed at the Kestrel Educational Adventures Get Outside Center in Gloucester!
