Lights, Camera, Nature!

Kids will learn about ecology, film-making and working in teams in this workshop

Lights, Camera, Nature! is a nature filmmaking class for kids ages 9-12! We will venture into the nearby wilds with a professional naturalist and a local filmmaker. Kids will explore the wildlife and capture the action on their cameras. When finished with shooting they will work in a small team to craft a fun story, then use simple editing software to create and edit their movie.

Learn all about tarts from a master baker at the Trustees Appleton Farms in Ipsw

Jackie King, co-owner of A&J King Artisan Bakers in Salem, will show you the basics of tart production and assembly using three distinct methods. Based on the recipes and techniques outlined in her new book, Baking by Hand, participants will create three tarts from start to finish—to bring home or eat right away! This class is perfect for the aspiring pastry chef, sweet lover, or home cook. Animal Care Classes for Kids

Kids will learn about animal care at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire!

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire and the NHSPCA team up to help kids learn about animal care! Kids and animals go together like peanut butter and jelly. From a young age, children are fascinated by animals and love to lavish affection on their pets. Sometimes, they can be a little overzealous, though, and that’s where humane education comes in, helping kids understand the best ways to interact with their pets.
